Night Drilling Completion Supervisor

About the role

Brunel is hiring a Night Drilling Completion Supervisor for a 2‑year contract with a major oil and gas client. The role is offshore in Suriname, working a 28‑day on/28‑day off rotation (12 h night shifts, 7 days a week).

Key responsibilities

• Support drilling assets within the Drilling & Wells department, ensuring continuity of offshore supervision during night operations.
• Supervise implementation of drilling programs and ensure compliance with company procedures, HSE, and environmental standards.
• Oversee service companies responsible for fluids, cement, and waste management services.
• Optimize rig equipment, processes, and operational performance in collaboration with contractors.
• Prepare and issue the Daily Drilling Report (DDR) and maintain accurate reporting through the WellView system.
• Monitor operational costs and maintain cost‑tracking records.
• Ensure effective handover and continuity between night and day shifts and document night‑shift lessons learned.

Required profile

• Technician or engineering background (Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent).
• Experience in an operational drilling environment.
• Good knowledge of offshore, specifically deepwater environments.
