Legal Intern – Support GeoUnit Operations

About the role

The Legal Intern will provide day‑to‑day legal assistance to the GeoUnit, working under the supervision of the GeoUnit Legal Counsel. This role supports commercial contracts, corporate matters and compliance across SLB operations.

Key responsibilities

• Handle commercial contracts, contract disputes and corporate filings such as registry filings and powers of attorney.
• Collaborate with support functions to ensure legal involvement in matters impacting SLB.
• Provide legal support to Operations to ensure compliance with local regulations and the SLB Code of Conduct.
• Assist the Legal Counsel in implementing procedures, guidelines, templates and managing litigation and outside counsel.
• Participate in training initiatives, supervise an Administrative Assistant when needed, and contribute to strategic projects.

Required profile

• LLB and LEC; admitted to practice as an Attorney‑at‑Law in Suriname.
• At least one year of experience in a law firm or in‑house legal department; oil & gas experience is a plus.
