Fluids Superintendent – Oil & Gas (Paramaribo)

About the role

We are looking for a Fluids Superintendent to support drilling assets within the Drilling and Wells department of a major oil & gas operator in Paramaribo, Suriname. The role is rotational (4 weeks on/4 weeks off) and involves overseeing all fluids, cement and waste‑management operations on offshore wells.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate fluids, cement and waste‑management service providers and act as technical support for the Drilling Superintendent and offshore Fluids Supervisor.
• Prepare and manage Fluids and Cement Programs, logistics plans and End‑of‑Well‑Reports, ensuring proper QC of all fluids and cement formulations.
• Manage daily drilling‑fluids, cementing and waste‑management operations in accordance with TotalEnergies standards and local regulations.
• Validate service‑company pro‑formas, monitor performance, optimise costs and compile lessons learned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent) with at least 2 years of offshore drilling fluids and cementing experience, including deep‑water projects.
• Good knowledge of TotalEnergies referential, processes and methods.
• Ability to liaise with headquarters, motivate offshore fluid supervisors and ensure compliance with HSE and statutory standards.

Required skills

• Drilling fluids engineering and cementing operations.

• Logistics planning for chemicals, bulk materials and equipment.
• Waste‑management compliance with ESIA and company standards.
• Deep‑water offshore experience.
