Drilling Completion Superintendent

About the role

Airswift is looking for a Drilling Completion Superintendent to join an outsourced contract in Suriname with a major oil & gas company. The position is rotational (4 weeks on/4 weeks off), minimum two‑year duration, and operates in an English‑speaking environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support drilling assets within the Drilling and Wells department and ensure operational readiness.
• Work closely with the Lead Drilling Engineer during well preparation and execution.
• Accountable for major technological risks, particularly blow‑out prevention, as part of the drilling chain of command.
• Lead communication with offshore operational teams, logistics, and contractor rig leaders.
• Provide operational support for drilling and completion activities, review drilling & wells programs, and manage changes when required.
• Maintain daily reporting, lead offshore calls, and liaise with logistics and service companies to ensure equipment and personnel readiness.
• Participate in lessons‑learned sessions and performance‑optimization processes.

Required profile

• Technical or engineering background with experience in DCS.
• Advanced conversational English.
• Strong knowledge of offshore environments, specifically deepwater operations.
