Dedicated Account Supervisor - Food & Beverage

About the role

Ecolab is looking for a Dedicated Account Supervisor to join its Food & Beverage and Industrial Solutions team in Suriname. This development-focused role combines technical service, customer support and account management, working closely with experienced Account Managers and Technical Specialists. It offers the chance to build technical expertise and commercial knowledge, with exposure to account management responsibilities and potential career growth.

Key responsibilities

• Work with Account Managers and technical teams to support customer operations and business objectives.
• Provide technical service, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and equipment support at customer facilities.
• Conduct system inspections, process assessments and service audits.
• Support chemical application programs and recommend improvements to optimise performance, efficiency and sustainability.
• Assist with sanitation, hygiene, water treatment and operational improvement programs.
• Maintain strong customer relationships through regular site visits and consultative support.
• Take part in field trials, product validations and the rollout of new technologies and service programs.
• Analyse operational data and prepare service reports, recommendations and business reviews.
• Identify opportunities to improve customer performance and support account growth, retention and contract renewal.
• Learn account management fundamentals such as territory planning, opportunity identification and customer retention.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Industrial Technology, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 2 years of experience in technical service, maintenance, manufacturing operations, engineering support or technical sales.
• Previous experience in Food & Beverage manufacturing plants is required.
• Proficiency in English and a valid driver's licence with an acceptable driving record.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules and to travel throughout the assigned territory.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Preferred: experience in water treatment, utilities or industrial production, and knowledge of sanitation systems, water treatment programs and chemical applications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
