Senior Vice President Finance – Insurance & Investments

About the role

The Senior Vice President (SVP) Finance will lead financial strategy, performance management and reporting for a diversified group operating in insurance, investment and asset‑management businesses. Reporting to the Group CFO, the SVP will act as a strategic partner to the CEO, Board and business‑unit leaders, ensuring financial discipline, capital efficiency and sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute group‑wide financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting and performance monitoring.
• Oversee financial reporting, management accounts, analysis and executive dashboards.
• Drive FP&A and commercial finance, turning data into strategic decisions.
• Monitor revenue, profitability, cash flow and return on capital across all portfolios.
• Provide financial leadership for insurance operations, including premium income, claims, reserves and underwriting performance.
• Supervise investment and asset‑management finance, covering portfolio reporting, valuation and performance analysis.
• Support capital planning, solvency, liquidity, balance‑sheet optimisation and capital allocation.
• Lead treasury planning, liquidity management and cash‑flow forecasting.
• Strengthen governance, internal controls, policies and risk‑management frameworks.
• Ensure timely statutory, regulatory and management reporting.
• Partner with Risk, Compliance, Actuarial, Treasury, Audit and Legal on financial matters.
• Conduct financial due diligence, modelling and valuation for M&A, joint ventures and acquisitions.
• Identify cost‑optimization and operational‑efficiency opportunities.
• Lead finance transformation initiatives, including ERP implementation and analytics.
• Develop and mentor senior finance professionals to build a high‑performing finance organisation.

Required profile

• Extensive senior‑level finance leadership experience, preferably in insurance, investment or asset‑management sectors.
• Proven track record of driving financial discipline, profitability and capital efficiency.
• Strong strategic partnership skills with C‑suite executives and board members.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large finance teams and manage complex regulatory environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
