Mill General Superintendent

About the role

Lead and coordinate mill maintenance activities across mechanical, electrical and planning teams to ensure safe, efficient and cost‑effective operations while maximizing plant availability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead execution of the Mill Maintenance Plan and align activities across maintenance departments.
• Oversee maintenance planning, execution, asset management and performance monitoring.
• Ensure critical assets have effective lifecycle and preventive maintenance plans.
• Monitor KPIs, system data, costs and plant availability to drive performance.
• Manage maintenance budgets and identify efficiency and cost‑reduction opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory standards.
• Lead, develop and coordinate maintenance teams, providing adequate manpower, training and resources.
• Drive continuous improvement and promote proactive maintenance practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related technical qualification.
• Minimum 10 years of maintenance, engineering or planning experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance management, asset management and planning systems; Oracle eAM experience is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Experience working with multicultural teams.
