Commercial Manager – Rental, Used Equipment and Branch

About the role

The Commercial Manager will own the growth of the Rental & Used Equipment business for a leading heavy‑equipment dealer in Suriname. You will drive sales, manage a regional branch and lead a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Generate new business and grow existing accounts across mining, power, forestry, agriculture and construction.
• Develop and execute rental and used‑equipment sales strategies, pricing and coverage plans.
• Source, negotiate and order machines, including used, reconditioned and new equipment for the rental fleet.
• Advise customers on equipment selection, maintenance and service solutions.
• Lead the Rental & Used team and the regional branch, handling daily performance, coaching and resource planning.
• Manage the branch’s financials, inventory, budgeting and reporting, including CRM (Salesforce) dashboards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Economics or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of sales experience with proven rental or commercial operations knowledge.
• At least 2 years of managerial experience.
• Technical knowledge of heavy and light equipment and the rental/used market.
• Fluent in Dutch and English; additional languages a plus.
