Mill Maintenance General Foreman

About the role

Responsible for the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and improvement of automation and control systems, supporting safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure, install, and commission PLC, HMI, DCS, and SCADA systems.
• Troubleshoot and modify control systems to improve plant reliability and performance.
• Develop PLC logic, control strategies, and automation solutions.
• Provide technical support to Maintenance, Production, Engineering, Electrical, and Instrumentation teams.
• Support automation projects, system upgrades, backups, and industrial network configuration.
• Supervise and provide technical guidance to Junior Automation & Control Specialists and Technicians.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of automation experience, preferably in a mining/mineral processing environment.
• Degree in Automation, Electrical/Control Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Good command of written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of PLC programming, HMI, DCS, and SCADA.
• Experience with Wonderware/System Platform (advantage).
• Knowledge of industrial networks, PLC troubleshooting, alarm management, and cybersecurity.
