Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Deputy CEO)

About the role

The Hive Careers is looking for a Deputy Chief Executive Officer to partner with the CEO in accelerating growth across the Caribbean. This senior executive will translate strategy into measurable results, focusing on revenue generation, profitability and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the CEO to execute strategic and commercial priorities.
• Drive new‑business development, enterprise sales, strategic partnerships and market expansion.
• Protect existing revenue through client retention, account management and contract oversight.
• Lead cost‑optimization and efficiency initiatives to improve margins.
• Oversee Sales, Operations, Talent Delivery and other core functions.
• Own P&L performance, budgets, forecasts and key business KPIs.
• Negotiate high‑level commercial agreements and strengthen enterprise client relationships.
• Identify new markets, service offerings and revenue opportunities in Jamaica and the wider Caribbean.
• Implement scalable processes, technology adoption and performance management.
• Build and mentor high‑performing leadership teams and manage risk mitigation.

Required profile

• 10+ years of progressive senior leadership experience in general management, commercial leadership, operations, consulting, staffing or HR technology.
• Proven ownership of P&L, revenue and profitability targets.
• Track record of growing businesses, markets, teams or service lines.
• Experience managing enterprise clients, strategic partnerships and executive‑level stakeholders.
• Strong commercial, financial, strategic and operational acumen.
• Experience leading multiple business functions and senior teams.
• Background in staffing, outsourcing, consulting or workforce solutions is preferred.
• Regional or multi‑country leadership experience in the Caribbean is an advantage.
